National Land Commission (NLC) chairman Mohammed Swazuri has warned private developers,  prominent politicians and businessmen allegedly grabbing public land meant for development.

Speaking at Naivasha town on Thursday, Swazuri said the commission is investigating several cases of public land grabbing. He added that the commission has received several complaints from a section of Naivasha residents complaining of land grabbing.

“The commission is currently probing several land grabbing cases and will present its evidence to relevant government agencies for action,” he said.

Swazuri said that the commission will not be coward by a few prominent individuals who he said are fighting back.

He said that some prominent politicians and businessmen linked to land grabbing have been fight back.

Swazuri appealed to the public to register their complaints in regards to land grabbing with the commission,.

The NLC chair said the commission is determined to clean up the land sector and restore its sanity.

On the same note, Swazuri said that the commission is working with Lands Ministry closely to ensure that land title deeds are issued to them.

He said that genuine land owners will be issued with title deeds to curb cases of land conflict that are steadily rising in Naivasha.
