A Swedish delegation is among possible investors at the North Rift Economic Bloc (NOREB) Investment Conference which kicked off on Wednesday.
The team arrived on Tuesday in Eldoret Town for the three-day event.
Led by the Vice Mayor of Norrköping City, Goran Farm, the delegation from the province of Östergötland in eastern Sweden met Governor Jackson Mandago.
The delegation is comprised of Swedish government officials and entrepreneurs who are ready to invest in the North Rift region.
Lars Srensson, CEO Norrköping Water and Waste said that his company is considering putting up a waste management plant in this region.
Eight counties from the North Rift- Elgeyo-Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Baringo, Turkana, Samburu, Nandi, and Uasin Gishu- make up NOREB.
The conference hosted by Uasin Gishu County at the Eldoret Sports Club seeks to showcase individual investment opportunities available in each of the counties.
According to Mandago, who is also the interim chairman of Noreb, the conference will bring together investors to discuss ways of easing access to resources in each of the counties.
