Law enforcement have identified a Swiss couple found dead in Kiembeni, Mombasa
The man accused of their murder has been detained by police and will be brought before the court.
According to area police Chief Christopher Rotich, the suspect was found in the couple’s house in Nyali and police are still in pursuit of the caretaker, neighbor and watchman.
“We have tracked the phone of the caretaker and we have seen he is in Nairobi. We are also following the two others,” said Mr Rotich as reported by the Daily Nation.
It is believed that the couple was killed shortly after arriving in Mombasa.
“They arrived at Moi International Airport past midnight with luggage. We suspect that their car, which was parked at the house, was used to transport the bodies and dump them where we found them,” officer Rotich said.
The embassy has been contacted in an effort to reach their family.
