Police in Mombasa have launched investigations into the murder of another Swiss national whose body was found dumped in Mtwapa creek.Coast regional police chief Larry Kieng who confirmed the incident said the body of the man identified as Moser Max was dumped in the Indian Ocean by unknown assailants.Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Kieng said the deceased who had lived in Mtwapa for over 10 years, appeared to have been hit by a sharp object as he had deep head injuries.“The body of the deceased had deep head injuries. We suspect he was killed and the body dumped in the ocean,” said Kieng.Kieng said they have launched investigations into the incident which has raised concerns over the safety of foreigners in the country.“We are going to get those who killed Max the same way we got those who were behind the Swiss couple’s murder. Let those criminals perpetuating the crimes know that they can hide but not run. I want to assure both foreigners and locals in Mombasa of their security,” said Kieng.The body was taken to Pandya Hospital for postmortem examination.The incident comes barely a month after a Swiss couple was murdered and their bodies dumped by the roadside in Kiembeni, Mombasa.Werner Borner Paul and Marrianne Borner were attacked on August 20 as they entered their compound by people suspected to be their workers.
