The Swiss national was arrested in one of the town’s estate by sleuths following a complaint by his wife over his actions.

Police said they found a laptop full of pornographic materials some of which had been recorded locally.

A source said the suspect has been under investigations since 2013 when the first case was reported but there was no enough evidence to prosecute him.

“The wife reported over the weekend about another abuse of the daughter by the father who has since been arrested,” said the source.

Naivasha CID boss Martin Mbaya confirmed the arrest on Monday noting that the foreigner would be arraigned in court facing various charges.

“The suspect is currently under police custody and he shall be charged in court facing defilement and indecent assault charges among others,” he said.

In a lette to the Director of Criminal Investigations, the CID boss called for the assistance of the child protection unit due to the seriousness and sensitivity of the matter.

The letter noted that there was communication challenges as the suspect spoke only in Italian and French languages.

“This office has carried out preliminary investigations and impounded a computer and laptop which are alleged to contain pornographic materials,” reads the letter in part.
