Food poisoning differs with the source of contamination and symptoms.

Some infectious organisms can cause demise in a less span while some are mild and resolves without treatment. 

For instance, salmonella is a lethal bacterium that contaminates most foods. In this case, chances of survival are minimal. 

Here are symptoms of food poisoning you need to know. 

Diarrhea

This symptom is no doubt that you have food poisoning. 

Usually, the diarrhea is persistent and accompanied by severe stomach upset. 

However, diarrhea does not mean that you have food poisoning. It may be as a result of other waterborne diseases like cholera. 

Vomiting

Another symptom is vomiting. Vomiting is usually linked with nausea. 

Nausea leads to vomiting. You will experience a feeling of physical unwellness, usually with the desire to vomit.

Headaches

A pain or ache in the head can be as a result of malaria and other maladies. 

Apart from these maladies, headaches can be a symptom that you have food poisoning.

Mild fever

A higher than normal body temperature can be as a result of food poisoning. 

This is a condition that you should pay attention to as well.

Weakness

Weakness is caused by diarrhea in most instances. 

Diarrhea cause dehydration which in turn leads to body weakness.

Other symptoms include loss of appetite and abdominal cramps.
