The Nakuru town MP David Gikaria and the County’s Efficiency and Development Group now wants Nakuru County government to table all the documents which are related to the unsuccessful installation of the free Wi-Fi in the town.

The MP and the Group who had sued the county government for planning to establish the free Wi-Fi project that collapsed only a few hours after it was launched by Governor Kinuthia Mbugua.

Gikaria has told justice Janet Mulwa to order the county government and also the Attorney General's office to provide all the copies of the free Wi-Fi contract.

Through their lawyer John Githui, the petitioners claimed that by being provided with the documents, they will clearly prove that the tendering process and the whole issue of free Wi-Fi in Nakuru town was not done in the correct manner.

The two petitioners want all the copies of the Hansard, which mainly show expenditure that was approved by the county government.

In a request that was filed in Nakuru High Court on Wednesday, the petitioners demanded that they be provided with all the copies of advertisements that were made, pre-qualifications and also the tendering process that authorised the use of the Sh300 million in the project and also all the officials that were involved in the project. 

Justice Janet Mulwa said that the case will be mentioned in March 25 this year.
