As the drums of the 2017 General Election hit harder less than 3 months to the polls, politicians are employing every strategy to ensure them a win after August 8.
As once revealed by political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, a man who command both love and hate in equal measure politics is all about numbers, remember the infamous tyranny of numbers hypothesis.
In politics to win the confidence of voters, politicians will device all means at the disposal to ensure the attract large crowds in the political rallies, others will pull the crowds by offering the attendees bribe to be at the venues while others may come in voluntarily.
Another factor that contributes to winning being in politics is your ability to tranverse large geographical areas in short time and with ease, hence many politicians will invest a lot of their money to secure the quickest and fastest means of transport and that is when helicopters came in handy and also due to the fact that they can land wit ease without needing a well decorated airstrip.
"Some use big vehicles and helicopters just to intimidated their opponents," said political analyst Martin Andati.
Another tool that most politicians will use to ascend to power is the old but effective propaganda style in which politicians use messages that are meant to paint bad their opponents.
Here social media will be used to the uttermost limits, with each one pulling out negative stories about their opponent caring less about the authenticity of the information.
It also during this time that creative artiste come in handy for politicians, musicians will be on call to craft songs that will push the politician's agenda, while graphic designer will be as busy bees designing from T-shirts, caps, and even cups bearing the politicians party logo and faces just to boost their popularity among voters.
All this tactics require a very sustainable financial treasure chest, but according to political analyst Martin Andati if a politician can articulate his manifesto properly among voters he also stands a chance to win a political office.
"You can ensure the people understand your manifesto and also use volunteers if they believe in you then you stand a high stand of winning," said Andati.
