The opposition leader is calculating his next steps very carefully ahead of the 2017 General Elections.

The battle in Cord is now between, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula who are all battling to be the party’s flag bearer.

With this being the case, Raila can really only have so many tricks up his sleeve.

The first thing he can opt to is to abandon Cord and start up another coalition where he can be the presidential candidate without battle.

He could also back another candidate in the Cord party. Maybe this could give the party a better chance at forming the government in 2017? He could push for either Wetangula or Kalonzo.

He could also just keep the sanity in the party and go with what his party members suggest?

If all those tactics do not really appeal to him, he could just give up on politics as a whole. Perhaps that would be the best decision to make?

It became quite evident that the opposition was having major problems after Wetangula turned down Raila’s presidential bid openly last week.

Wetangula went ahead to urge the leader to quit politics and back him or Kalonzo.

An independent poll has, however, been released stating that there is a higher chance that Kalonzo and Wetangula will unseat Uhuru in the 2017 election compared to if Raila takes the lead.

So what is ‘Baba’s’ next step, most people would ask? The answer would be to wait for 2017.
