The County government of Taita Taveta has entered into a partnership with three private health facilities, to offer medical services to patients in the County.
This is after doctors and nurses across public hospitals in the County, joined the rest of the medics, for a nationwide strike.
The medics are demanding for a pay hike.
Taita Taveta Health County Executive Committee (CeC) member Gifton Mkaya said St Joseph's Shelter of Hope Hospital - Ikanga, Dawida Clinic - Wundanyi, and Meditech Clinic - Taveta, had agreed to offer all medical and treatment services to patients seeking same services from across the County.
"Further, I would like to request wananchi to make use of private facilities that are near their places of residents, as the facilities mentioned are put for emergency eventualities only,'' Mkaya said, in a press release.
