The County Government of Taita Taveta under Sports CeC Bigvai Mwailemi has recruited an official county football team.

The 25-member team was recruited following vigorous trials held across the county in four sub-counties.

Governor Granton Samboja visited the team at Dawson Mwanyumba stadium on Thursday where he expressed satisfaction after seeing the dedication and determination of the players.

"We are currently in the process of procuring branded uniforms for the team," said Samboja who further promised to fully support the players in a bid to nurture and promote talent.

"I welcome you all to cheer for our team as they play against Kakamega SOY Football club on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Dawson Mwanyumba," he added.
