A section of MCAs in Kiambu County have given the county government a 14-day ultimatum to take action against two ward administrators accused of engaging in politics.
Sigona Ward MCA Mutonya Njenga said they reached the decision, following two administrators calling bodaboda riders to protest against Ngewa MCA Karungo Thang'wa.
The two administrators are said to have paid bodaboda riders in Ngewa Ward to protest against their MCA in December last year.
"It was shameful what we saw in Ngewa where the two administrators were leading a demonstration against the area elected leaders," said Mutonya.
"We have written to the concerned County Executive (CeC), and he has two weeks to suspend the two to allow investigations to be carried out," added Mutonya.
The move has been supported by Kiambu County Assembly Deputy Speaker Anthony Macharia.
"I hear the Sub-county administrator in Limuru has given the ward administrators roles that are not theirs, like collecting birth and initiation data. We won't allow that," said Macharia.
On his part Ngewa MCA, Karungo Thang'wa said that the two must face the law.
