Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior Friday wrote to the CID asking them to investigate the audio doing rounds in the interwebs in which majority leader Aden Duale allegedly asks Garissa locals to stop members of the Kamba community from registering as voters.

In the letter addressed to the directorate of criminal investigation Ndegwa Muhoro and copied to NCIC chairperson Francis Ole Kaparo Mutula says, "the alleged remarks in their ordinary meaning are in violation of National integration act and amount to hatespeech under the law."

The letter goes on and says, " The country is anxiously waiting for action to be taken against the said leader as no person is above the law and the constitution irrespective of their status."

"We want an assurance that the Kamba community will be given adequate security.
