Youths who did not qualify to join universities for their tertiary studies have been advised to take advantage of polytechnics in their areas.

According to Enchoro Polytechnic Chairman Peter Minyira, who spoke to this writer on Tuesday  at  Gesima, many youths who unfortunately did not qualify to join universities and colleges count themselves as failures in life, and choose to abandon studies altogether.

Minyira advised them to join polytechnics for further studies, where they can choose courses which can change their lives.

“Most of these polytechnics are well supported by the government, and there are many courses that one can  take to change his life," said Minyira.

He added that youths needs to change their attitude and realise that there is no one who is a fail in life,  so long as they change their attitudes towards life.

“No one is a fail in life, what determines is how you take yourself and how you can change your attitude towards something," he added.

According to the chairman, most youths consider themselves as failures if they do not attain good grades that can guarantee them admission to public universities, and many of them opt to engage in drug and substance abuse.
