Raila on Wednesday dismissed the crisis as internal democracy, insisting that the coalition is stronger than ever despite the anxiety from his co-principals, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Moses Wetang'ula (Ford-K).

And now Nyamira Assembly Deputy Majority leader James Mating’a on Wednesday challenged the veteran politicians to call for an emergency meeting and iron out the issues.

“I don’t think the utterances made by Wiper and Ford Kenya leaders should be taken lightly. They were serious and on public forums. As ODM, we should take their remarks seriously and find the solution to their concerns,” he said.

“The party leader should convene a meeting urgently so that the issue is resolved amicably before our opponents take it as our weakness to defeat us in the forthcoming polls,” he added.

He also challenged ODM legislators against making ‘reckless’ remarks that could crumble the coalition before next year's elections.

“Our partners are complaining about ODM and it's important our legislators desist from making any remarks that could be deemed as demeaning to them. Hopefully, he will solve the crisis to avert the looming fallout,” he added.
