Constituents of Garissa County have been urged to take lead in building the nation.
Deputy President William Ruto, speaking during celebrations to mark International Volunteers Day in Garissa County on Monday said that Jubilee as government has done its part to ensure that the lives of Kenyans are transformed through initiating projects that will see each Kenyan benefit.
"Youth, women should engage in productive work that will add value to their lives and take the lead in nation building," said Ruto.
He urged politicians to help youths and women to build the nation.
"We must mentor, provide direction to the young and prepare them for leadership," he added.
He drummed up for Jubilee Party and said that through Jubilee administration, much has been achieved.
"We are empowering the people to take charge of their destiny and providing them with choices. One way of doing this is lighting up homes and businesses to better lives of Kenyans", he noted.
