Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has challenged Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a to take him to court, for allegedly squandering Sh800 million meant for infrastructure and development if she has evidence to prosecute him.
The county boss has expressed his concern over alleged hate speech against him without concrete evidence, threatening he will sue Ng’ang’a for defaming him.
“I will sue her for defaming me to the people who elected me, and if she has evidence of me squandering the money, surely, why doesn’t she take me to court?” said Kabogo.
According to the governor, the motive of the Thika MP is not yet known, and if she wants to challenge him in the next general election, she should wait for the right time.
Kabogo said that he has been patient enough, and if she is a good leader, she should focus on development since there are two more years left to the election.
“We are not campaigning anymore, it is now our past and it is time for development, if she wants to prove she is worth it, then prove by the development of the county not by empty promises,” said the county boss.
The governor was speaking on Thursday in Kiambu town headquarters, when he unveiled the County Bursary Programme, disbursing Sh150 million, which will sponsor the needy students in the county.
