Addressing residents at Limuru town on Monday, area MCA Joseph Muragumi said that locals must partner ti support their leaders on development.

He said that various development activities were taking place in the ward and there was a need for locals to get involved.

“We have initiated various development projects and want to welcome the public to take part in it,” he said.

The MCA said that the public had a voice and must be given an opportunity to make their opinions on policy and implementation of projects. He further urged the public to demand services from the county government and local leaders.

Muragumi said that devolution was meant to ensure that residents could have access to basic services. He asked the Kiambu government to put in place adequate measures that will guarantee access to services.

The ward representative also wants the youth of the area to use their time wisely. He said that cases of young people being lured to crime and social evils have gone up.

The MCA appealed to the youths to keep themselves busy by applying for development funds that would help them start business ventures.
