Tala Chess players have organized a three day Tala chess open championship set to kick off this Saturday at Kangundo junior academy.The championship is aimed at bringing youths together through sports and develop the game of chess within the region.Over 15 chess players will battle for top honors during the championship that will see winners pocket a cash award of 5000 shillings.This will be the third time Tala Chess players hold this kind of tournament since its inception in 2015 where Veronica Musila won the title after emerging victorious.However other people who are interested to feature in the championship have been invited to register at the Kangundo junior academy reception before Saturday.The registration fee for interested parties is 200 shillings. Three veteran chess players from Nairobi including David Githinji have been invited as guests.
