Tala Kisukioni Table Tennis team cruised through to the finals of the Machakos table tennis championship that is been held at Ngelani High school.
The team qualified after beating Katelembu team 53-12 points in a semi final match that was played earlier.
Matthew Makenzi of Kisukioni earned 22 points that helped his team beat minnows Katelembu who were making their debut in the championship.
Kisukioni team will now face the winner of the second semi final match pitting Kisekini team and Mua Hills school team.
The second semi final will be played this Thursday with the finals set to be played on Saturday.
Winners will pocket a cash award of 200,000 shillings while runners up will receive 100,000 shillings. Second runners up will be rewarded with 50,000 shillings and trophies.
This is the 3rd edition of the championship that has attracted participation from 8 teams who played a round robin format of play.
