Eldoret East Police boss Nelson Taliti has warned youths against being used as agents of violence by selfish individuals.
Speaking from his office on Friday, Taliti said many youths are blindly being used by selfish people to cause violence. He observed many acts of violence and crime are being perpetrated by young people.
He warned those being used to cause trouble and lawlessness that they will be dealt with accordingly.
“The police will not spare or tolerate any person found contravening the law, criminals will be dealt as criminals,” said Taliti.
Taliti also warned politicians and businessmen funding youths to cause violence.
“We have information and we will soon make arrests on the people suspected to be funding violence.” he added.
He at the same time assured residents of their security noting that patrols have been intensified in estates across the area.
