She warned that failure by relevant agencies to act on hate mongers will be disastrous for the country ahead of the polls.

“No one found culpable of hate mongering should be spared and we urge NCIC and other agencies to reign on hate mongers,” she said during briefing with journalists at Thika Police station on Wednesday.

The MP observed that 'careless' talk among politicians led to the 2007/2008 post poll chaos. “We don’t want to experience the escapades of 2007/2008 post poll chaos again,” she added.

The Thika lawmaker asked Kenyans to be on watch out of selfish politicians who spew hate.

She also asked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to bar politicians who spew hate from contesting elective seats.

The MP caution against hate mongering comes amid calls to have National Assembly leader of Majority Aden Duale arrested and prosecuted for allegedly spewing hate remarks.

Duale has been on the spot over the last one week over alleged hate remarks he is allegedly said to have made in an audio clip doing rounds in social media.

A voice purported to be of Duale is heard in the audio clip asking Garissa youths not to allow Kambas to register as voters in the constituency.

The Garissa Township MP has since dismissed the audio clip as police say they are investigating the source and authenticity of the audio clip.

Meanwhile, Ng'ang'a has urged Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery and Inspector of General of Police Joseph Boinnet to streamline security across the country ahead of the August general elections.

The MP said that security has to be guaranteed as Kenyans wait to go the general elections in August.
