Timothy Bosire has challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to control his emotions whenever dealing with critical issues emanating from opposition side of divide.

The ODM national treasurer further cautions Kenyatta against subjecting his perceived critics to humiliation adding that the habit could be detrimental to presidency.

In recent weeks, Kenyatta has been embroiled in public spat with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Turkana counterpart Josephat Nanok.

“The president should tame his emotions when handling critical issues,” said Bosire ahead of state of the nation address by Kenyatta in parliament on Wednesday.

Bosire, a chief critic of Kenyatta added: “Giving threats and ultimatums to opposition leaders is backward. We have a role of questioning the government of the day.”

Also, the Kitutu Masaba MP appealed to Jubilee government to embrace constructive criticism from the opposition for the sake of unity.

In the history of parliament, Bosire defied Kenyatta’s order to stand in the honor of soldiers who had died in Somalia last year, accusing the state of ignoring their plight.
