Former Tana River Governor Hussein Dado on Thursday joined religious leaders from the county in praying for President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the repeat presidential election.The ex-county boss who was accompanied by more than 60 religious leaders met residents at Oda in Garsen Constituency where they held the special prayers.The prayer meeting was attended by several leaders including Wardei community chairman Malim Dado, Former Deputy Governor Jire Siya, Sheikh Abubakar Shobe of Supkem Tana River, Bonea Kone who represented women in the county and elder Abdalla GanyoSpeaking during the meeting, Dado said they had called for the prayers to ensure Uhuru beats NASA leader Raila Odinga in the repeat polls.He promised to mobilise residents to rally behind Uhuru to ensure he gets more than 70 per cent of the votes in the county.The Jubilee politician also asked Kenyans not to criminalize Uhuru for attacking the Supreme Court following the nullification of his re-election.“Many people blamed Uhuru when he criticised the court. He is a human being...even though he won the election with eight million votes, they nullified the results. Kenyans should understand him. The whole world congratulated him but the court found mistakes," said Dado as quoted by the Star.
