A man died after a well he was drawing water from collapsed on him in Konekatili village, Tana River.
An eyewitness told Bahari FM the man was buried alive as he was trying to fetch water for his livestock.
Bahari FM, efforts to rescue him, however, were futile.
This is the second incident after another man died from Assa area in the Tana Delta region died under similar circumstances about a week ago .
According to citizentv.co.ke, Tana River Governor Hussein Dado said the county is among the most affected by drought.
The county boss said over 70,000 families and their livestock are at risk following the prolonged dearth.
He made the revelations during Mashujaa Day on Thursday.
