The man was nabbed following a police crackdown in Mombasa on Friday.

Confirming the incident, Mombasa County Commissioner Maalim Mohamed said the suspect was Tanzanian.

"In Kenya we don't produce these kind of drugs and that is why we need to deal with those who are importing them," said Maalim.

The commissioner said the emergence of criminal groups in the county was as a result of drug abuse.

He urged residents to provide information about people suspected of selling drugs to youth.

"When we arrest drug dealers, we will be able to defeat the menace," he added.

Maalim said with the help of the public, police will be able to combat the illegal business of drug smuggling.
