A court in Nakuru has remanded a Tanzanian national for illegally staying in the country.
The prosecution desk told the court under the precision of Senior Resident Magistrate Felix Kombo that Musa Kaleri, 46,was arrested by Administration Police Officers attached at Kaptembwa Chief Camp on December 9 this year and failed to submit immigration documents to prove he is in the country legally.
The court heard that the Tanzanian had been running a traditional medicine clinic in the area for the last one year neither with a work permit nor immigration documents.
The accused person admitted to the charges and told the magistrate that he was not aware of how to apply for immigration documents or work permit and that he was brought in the country by a Kenyan relative.
The court ruled that the accused be kept in custody until the case is mentioned on December 17 this year.
