Taps in Molo town and it's outskirts have ran dry for weeks over what residents claim is unpaid electricity bills by Nakuru Water and Sewerage Company.
According to sources within the company, KP switched off power supply over an accumulated electricity bill from the water supply body.
Residents have raised concern over the issue and accuse the Nakuru Water and Sewerage Company of failing to provide water despite charging residents.
"It is over two weeks since we had water in our taps, we continue to pay bills but no services are given. The county government does not care about us. we are now buying water from vendors who are overcharging us," said Martin Muthige.
"The county government runs this company, the governor does not seem to care. why are electricity bills not paid yet we are charged every month for the water," said Susan Njoki.
A senior officer at the Molo water office declined to talk to this writer.
