Bahati MP Kimanjiri Ngunjiri and Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika have been urged to lobby for the tarmacing of the Kiti-Murunyu road.

The road has become an eyesore to Bahati constituents in Mawanga, JB, Tumsifu and Murunyu areas.

For years, residents have been subjected to untold suffereing due to the dusty road.Due to its busy nature, it has become so dusty that walking on foot you sink your shoes.

"This is the road that goes to Kihika's home, and you see its state. Charity begins at home, she should ensure it is tarmacked before talking about county development," Janet Waithera, who owns a shop at Mawanga, said.

The residents said Ngunjiri, who is serving a second term, should leave a legacy by having the road tarmacked.

"Our MP should at least make sure this road is tarmacked as he serves his second term," John Muchai said.

Interestingly, this is the same road that heads to Nakuru politician Koigi wa Wamwere who served as the area MP from 2002 to 2007.
