A task force has been formed from Nyamira and Kisii counties to determine in which county Keroka town belongs.
The two counties have been claiming ownership of the town.
Hivisasa spoke to a member of the committee who spoke on condition of anonymity as he is not authorised to speak to the media who said that the team is made up of six members.
“The matter will be solved amicably. If it will mean the town be divided to the two counties it will be done so. We don’t want a situation whereby even traders will be left hanging especially when it will come to payment of revenue,” he said.
According to him Kisii governor James Ongwae and his Nyamira counterpart John Nyagarama are aware of the team.
“The two governors are aware of the team and have given us a go ahead to come up with a solution," he said.
Among the leaders making up the committee include Nyaribari Masaba MP Ezekiel Machogu and Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose.
