It's over a decade and a half since the plug was pulled on Tausi, a riveting local TV program that captured the imagination of many Kenyans.
For the lovers of the show, and they are many, it was a must watch.
They followed it with a zeal that bordered on the insane.
It is Tausi that made Moreen Naibei. who played the part of a girl called Lindi who flees dire circumstances in her her home for the streets, a star.
When she made her debut in 1995, Moreen took the acting world by storm with her excellence.
Stalwarts of the show immediately fell in love with her.
''It was fun, and a little scary. I was very young.'' She said in an interview with the Daily Nation.
Moreen now lives in the coastal town of Mombasa and she is eating life with a big spoon.
She is the Music Copyright Society of Kenya's Coast regional manager in charge of licensing.
Moreen is impressed by the growth that the acting industry is undergoing, hailing the opportunities that the explosion of the internet is availing to aspiring and established actors.
