Tea farm workers in Olenguruone have appealed to Tea Farming Board to increase their pay.
The farmers argued that they are working in harsh conditions yet they are paid poorly.
"We pluck tea only to be paid Sh2 shillings per kilo. We need the board to increase the prices as they earlier promised," said Sang Eliud, chairman of Olenguruone Tea Farming Workers Association.
The farmers said that the cost of living has increased and they no longer afford to survive with such little amount.
