Nyansingo zone tea farmers have vowed that they will not re-elect governor John Nyaragama for the second term come 2017, citing poor management of the county.

They are accusing the governor of neglecting to construct various roads leading to their local buying centers, which forces them to carry their produce to Nyansingo factory or to buying centres that are near the factory.

The farmers have also accused the governor of failing to improve the tea sector in the region, and have vowed to support Walter Nyambati, who has said he will vie for the seat, to help them improve the tea sector and economy in the area.

The farmers at the same time have asked their women representative Alice Chae to support the women of Nyansiongo region with the table banking projects, in order for them to improve their lives.
