The court heard that officers Siraji Said and Mohamed Ahmed colluded with Hussein Aden (teacher) to take the money from Hassan Issack on December 15 while threatening to assault him.

In another count, they were also charged with violently robbing Alio Shaban of his Sh3 000 and Abdirahman Guracha of his Sh1 000 cash on the same date.

According to the Star, the suspects were moving around using a Toyota Probox vehicle on the said date.

"When they arrived at Moyale bus terminus, they picked the complainants and demanded their ID cards, which they were given, but they bundled the accused into the vehicle," the record stated.

The court heard that the accused frisked the victims inside their car and made away with all the money they had.

The three denied charges before Makadara senior principal magistrate Eveline Olwande and were each released on a Sh500 000 bond.

The case will be heard next on May 23.
