A 38-year-old teacher has been arraigned at a Kibera court for cutting a girl's private parts after the girl urinated in her clothes.

Consolata Shenda is alleged to have injured her nine-year old niece on November, 27.

The court heard on Tuesday that Shenda committed the crime as punishment for the girl.

The aunt was charged with cruelty and assault and the court is waiting to receive the girl's heath report from the children's officer to determine the bond.
