Kangundo OCS Morrice Okur confirmed the incident and said the mother of the boy found the Kilindiloni primary school teacher committing the act.
"It is unfortunate that the mother of the boy was beaten up by the parents of the suspect when she went to report them about what had happened,” said Okur.
The OCS added that a medical report from Kakuyuni Hospital was positive for sodomy.
He said the suspect was briefly detained at Kakuyuni police post before he was transferred to Kangundo police station.
Okur said the boy has recorded a statement with the police and the suspect will be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
