A deputy head teacher in Gatundu was on Monday arraigned in court and charged with defiling a 9 year old pupil.According to the Star, the accused Nicholas Mwiti committed the offence on June 9 at Wamine Academy in Gatundu North subcounty.
The court heard that Mwiti defiled the pupil in his office and threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone.
But, the girl told her mother when she went back home.
She was taken to Thika Level 5 Hospital for treatment after which Mwita was arrested by police officers from Mwea police post.
He denied the charges and was fled on a Sh200,000 bond with a surety of the same amount.
Mentioning of the case was set for June 26 and a ruling on July 31
