Residents of Nyangoso market in Kisii County were left in a rude shock after a teacher in the area died under unclear circumstances on Friday.
Locals described the deceased as a social man who could interact with both the young and old.
“We are yet to come into terms that the teacher is no more. He was in several youth groups and was a business oriented man. He was not sick and his death is a big shock to us,” said Justine Mong’arora, a resident.
Hellen Onsongo said they suspect that he might have been bewitched because he built an expensive house at his home which is yet to be completed.
“We suspect that his enemies didn’t feel happy after he started the construction of an expensive house at his home. Whoever who did this should pay because God is coming for him or her,” she stated.
She said a public baraza should be held so that they can be able to know who is behind the mysterious death.
“Nothing should be left to chance. A big public gathering should be heled to exactly know who might have caused this shocking death,” said Mrs Onsongo.
