A teacher was charged before a Nakuru court on Monday over defilement of a 13-year-old girl.

The suspect was accused of committing the act at a school in Rongai sub-county.

The prosecution told court the suspect lured the child into a staffroom where he scrolled down her panties and committed the heinous act.

The crime happened between February 2 and 6.

The suspect was released on a Sh200, 000 bond.

The case will proceed on March 23.
