A primary school teacher in Nakuru who raped a 13-year-old girl has been sentenced to 25 years in prison by a Nakuru Court.
Alex Otieno was found guilty of raping the girl on 29th April 2013 and according to the prosecution the accused was caught on May 2 2013.
In addition, the prosecution informed the court that Otieno took the child to his office and locked her in after which he defiled her.
The prosecutor also informed the court that the girl informed her friends about the incident but they chose to ignore her after which she told her mother about what had transpired.
She then took her to the hospital and it was discovered that she had a sexually transmitted disease.
Nakuru Resident Magistrate Judicaster Nthuku slapped the man with the jail term in addition to informing him that he had 14 days to appeal the sentence.
