According to the tutors from Bungoma county, it's only Wetangula who has shown willingness to defend them and that he has their interest at  heart.

Led by the county Knut County Secretary Kennedy Ng'ang'a, the teachers said they long lost trust in the Jubilee government and that they are keen on voting it out come 2017 election.

"We have a soft spot for Wetangula. He has been at the forefront championing teachers interests in the Senate," he said.

"We will campaign for him, the time is now for teachers to stand and be counted by having a stand on who becomes the next President," Ng'ang'a was quoted by the Star as speaking during the thanksgiving ceremony for Bungoma East Knut Secretary General Aggrey Namisi in Miendo village on Friday.
