Speaking on Tuesday outside the Sacco’s building in Kisii town, the teachers were unanimous that the management was to blame for long queues experienced always whenever they come to withdraw money from the Sacco.

“The Sacco has failed us completely. As you can see, the queue is quite long yet some of us have travelled from distant places. Something is not right and it must be fixed for us to get quality services since it is our right,” said Simon Nyaundi, a teacher from Kenyenya.

He said despite raising the concerns long ago, the management has remained numb and ignored even teachers’ representatives over the same issue.

“This is not the first time we are raising the alarm. The management has failed to address the issue even through our representatives. For how long will we continue standing in this long queue? Something ought to be done urgently,” he added.

Another teacher, John Nyandika urged the Sacco’s management to devolve its services to various place in Nyamira and Kisii counties since teachers have depended on the main branch for a long time in town.

“Some things need simple understandings. There will be nothing wrong if they establish their branches in areas with enormous representation otherwise we will quit and join other banks,” he said.

Efforts to reach the Sacco’s management were futile since phone calls went unanswered.
