Teachers Service Commission county director Patrick Nyagosia has called upon teachers to impact knowledge on students that will make them live harmoniously with other communities.

Nyagosia said if children are not given the best orientation in school, then they are likely to fall to the current animosity being witnessed across communities in the country.

“Teachers must be on the forefront to teach our children good values that will make them to live harmoniously with others,” he said.

Speaking in Kisumu on Thursday to teachers drawn from the county during a capacity building workshop on Amani Club guidelines organised the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), Nyagosia said students must be given direction that will guide them in future.

He said teachers have a responsibility to ensure the country is shaped into a good future by bringing up a new generation that will not be full of hatred to one another.

Nyagosia said the commission is helping the schools to come up with Amani Clubs where they can come together and discuss their issues.
