Youths make up a larger percentage of Kenya's population. These youths, from Monday to Friday, are found in schools, colleges and universities.
On Sundays, they are found in church. While in school, these youths are under the custody of teachers, tutors and lecturers and on Sundays they are under the care and guidance of pastors, bishops, fathers and reverends.
It is for this reason that teachers and clergymen are better placed to fight tribalism and corruption.
Teachers should take advantage of the ample time they have with these youths to teach them the importance of national cohesion and integrity values.
Lecturers should decolonize the minds of students who still think that tribalism has a place in our society. In fact, university students elections should set a good example, where students play policy based politics.
Pastors, fathers and reverends should seize the opportunity they have on Sunday to interact with youths.
They should preach peace, unity and cohesion. They should organize talks about integrity values.
