The straight-talking KNUT Chairman Wilsson Sossion has found himself in a rather uncomfortable situation after headteachers broke ranks with him over TSC reforms. The headteachers had initially sided with Mr. Sossion who opposed the reforms but later backpedaled and embraced the reforms. They now believe that the TSC-initiated reforms are necessary to make the education sector more vibrant.According to them, the introduction of a new curriculum would help raise the education standards in the country.Shem Ndolo who is the chairman of the Kenya Primary School Headteachers Associations confirmed that the association was behind reforms that would improve learning in Kenya.''We will help the government harmonise the interventions in early education learning programmes but we need training through seminars, conferences, and workshops.'' Mr. Ndolo said according to the Daily Nation.Mr. Sossion criticised the government for not involving the teachers in consultations before introducing the reforms.
