Kuria said teachers should not be blamed for the lost time because they were just demanding for their rights.
“No one should blame teachers for the lost two weeks because the fault was not ours, but I want to assure all Kenyan parents in Nakuru County and across the country that we will cover for the lost time through our on means and therefore they should not be worried for nothing has been lost,” said Kuria.
He added that teachers will work hard as usual as they await the outcome of the industrial court-led negotiations between their unions and the government.
“All our members have been told they should go work with one heart and have faith in our courts fro we believe that they will give us a good outcome therefore parents should know that their children are in good hands, and I want to dispel the perception that teachers are frustrated and that they will not work with an open heart,” he said.
