Teachers from different counties have threatened to withdraw from the AON medical scheme over what they termed poor services.
They argue that the medical scheme is not providing services as per the agreement reached upon by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), adding that they will not let their salaries to be deducted.
The teachers from Siaya, Kisumu, Kericho and Vihiga counties, have also accused the insurance company of not deducting the money on time,.
They claim this has affected them since they cannot be treated if they visit the hospitals.
The insurance company has been contracted by the TSC to manage teachers medical scheme whereby all tutors actively in service from 18 years to mandatory retirement date are eligible.
The cover is meant for about 288,000 teachers, some of who have accused the insurance company of allowing 'few individuals' to get substandard services while others are denied the services.
The company on the other hand maintains it has not received any formal complaint from the said counties.
Teachers now want the insurer to tell teachers what they are expected to do so that they can way other options.
Some have further threatened not to validate their services come July.
