Kisii central sub county education director Charles Nyaribo has challenged teachers’ unions officials not to threaten any teacher who has taken up assignment to supervise the national examinations.
According to him, some schools in Kisii County have already started their examinations starting by French language and practical part of various subjects like home science.
Addressing journalist on Thursday in his office, Nyaribo asked the two teachers unions not to threaten any teacher who is conducting supervision in various schools in Kisii County.
Among the schools that started their examinations yesterday is cardinal Otunga Boys High School, Kereri Girls, Ichuni Girls Nyabururu Girls, Nyanchwa Girls and Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi Kegati Mixed Secondary School among others.
“When we went to collect examination from the office in order to be distributed to those schools that started their examination yesterday, we found all responsible supervisors and they are ready to conduct supervision as usual. For that part we do not have any problem,” said Nyaribo.
He noted that yesterday’s examination was well done without any interruptions adding all principals and their deputies responded positively.
He said ongoing strike can’t be an obstacle for the national examination in the country.
