The Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) has donated reference books to various learning institutions within Mvita constituency.
Speaking yesterday as he presided over the donation, Mvita Member of Parliament Abdulswamad Nassir thanked the TUM administration for their actions towards the schools in Mvita.
"I am proud by the fruits of a recent discussion on two partnership areas between the University and Mvita constituency," said Abdulswamad through his social media account.
He said that the first partnership area was in the enrolling of Mvita students in the upcoming school of medicine through an investment by Mvita CDF.
"Mvita students should be given priority in admissions to various course disciplines in the university," said Abdulswamad.
He also revealed that the second relationship strategy was a partnership in the construction of hostels by the constituency and the income from the investment would go into a rotating fund as bursaries for Mvita students in the constituency.
