DigiCert Chief Executive Harry Ochieng has been working on the innovation for the last two years, building a system that will help in tackling exam cheating and forgery of academic certificates.

This innovation should be appraised as a stepping stone in curbing cheats in the work places and allocating the rightfully gained certificates, the jobs they deserve.

DigiCert will help employers as well as any individual wishing to verify a certificate by creating an account on the DigiCert website and verifying the authenticity of the credentials in the schools they have been attained from.

This authorization is made through an archive provided by the higher education institutions, therefore names registered in the schools will be matched against those on the said certificates.
